Is romance dead?

Yesterday I bought this wonderful little book of love letters (inspired by Sex and The City)...oh it's so beautiful! It makes me sad to think that in this day and age nobody really sends letters anymore, especially love letters...it's all emails and text messages with no deep meaning. So if ,like me, you believe romance should rise from the dead buy this book and go back to a time when love letters were beautifully poetic and passionate...

SOMERSET HOUSE

Kerrie and I took a little trip to Somerset House yesterday to see 'A Very British Glamour ' By Norman Parkinson. It was free, so worth a visit. Outside near the quaint ice-rink was a Tiffany&Co. tuck shop...so very cute, it felt as if you turned into a doll and could fit inside a Tiffany box...There was blue cupcakes and candy canes and of course some of the timeless jewelry ...here's some photographs ...

Thought of the day...

I don't really know what I want, but I know what I don't want...
I don't want to be controlled...

I'm sitting here staring at the deep snow outside of my bedroom window wishing I could just run away to Paris and explore...find amazing vintage shops and fabulous cake shops which serves tea in old china teacups...doesn't it sound wonderfully chic?
I'm really finding who I am and I know I don't want to be part of a superficial fake bitchy world...
I guess I just want to create life as I go and make one big piece of art called...LIFE.
Oh, I don't know...sometimes it's easy to lose yourself!

New Decade, new fashion?

No, I don't think so either.
However, I'm expecting more copycatting will take place as it seems to constantly, for example the '80s was recreated in the noughties! Does this mean that we may have to rummage in our lofts for grunge and tracksuits of the '90s!? Eww no tracksuits!!
But my point is that the start of the 90s was 20 years ago and fashion has changed quite dramatically and to be honest it wasn't the most stylish decade...just look back at the Spice Girls. Thank the fashion God changed his or her (lets not be sexist here) style for the 00's...
So, I'm thinking the best decades were definitely the '20s, when Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel changed women's restricting fashion into clothes that moved with the body ;) to me this era of the flapper girls was just wonderful and elegant, no? My next fav decade has to be of course the '60s! I genuinely wish I was around at this time...maybe I would have been able to get to Andy Warhol's 'Factory' and saved the lovely Edie Sedgwick! Oh but the 60s were so free compared with previous decades...i love the whole hippy/bohemian effortless style and of course BIG HUGE MASSSSSIVE HAIR!

Oh maybe I am living in the 60s?!
PEACE AND LOVE XO
