Summer has finally arrived, happy belated solstice by the way, and with the season of Summer it also, for me, becomes tattoo season! Whenever the days are warm and the skies are blue more & more flesh begins to see the light of day and so my creative flare takes control and i need to add amazing art work to this body i am borrowing for the life of Jordan ;) So yesterday I had a new piece of art added down the left side of my ribs of three daisies in a chain with a Native American feather dangling down from the final daisy :) I've already been asked what it means to me (as all of my tattoos have meanings!) but with this one it was kinda meant to be, i had a vision and had to go with it! So there is a hidden meaning that I am yet to discover :) The universe works in weird & wonderful ways! I am having another one next week, simply of a peace sign. I already have the peace&love sign so thought its about time i had purely peace , because with peace there is always love...

Marilyn...
I was just watching 'The Prince & The Showgirl' and yes I always knew Marilyn Monroe was super beautiful but today her whole presence just made me smile. The way she moved her body and held her head up with confidence was so wonderful. I wish woman in this day and age would believe that they're sexy and beautiful no matter what size or body shape they are. Go on girls go eat a that yummy temptation and wear a slinky dress. You're FABULOUS!

Away with the fairies...
Sunshine & Wine...
Yesterday I was extremely bored and so I though a little rose spritzer wouldn't hurt so yes I drank a couple on my own! Oh don't call AA just yet my mumma was here but was being boring saying she'd fall asleep if she had a drink so I did offer to 'socially drink' it just didn't happen!

I then got bored of filling myself up with my weak alcoholic beverage and sat outside with nature, and laptop, to relax!

This was then followed by watching New Moon for the millionth time but for my mumma's first time and she said it was CRAP!!!OMG what a loser...TEAM JACOB ;) <3

A short profile on: Rachael Barrett
Fashion designer Rachael Barrett is quickly becoming a favourite within the fashion industry despite only graduating from university last Summer. Although her name maybe unheard of among the masses, right now this 24-year-old is one to look out for.
Many may be familiar with seeing pop sensation, Lady Gaga, wearing Rachael’s silicone dresses on her Monster Ball tour and in music videos such as ‘Bad Romance’ and ‘Telephone’ (above). Rachael states that in her short career having Gaga wear her designs is the most exciting thing to happen so far. “Gaga’s such a favourite, she wears the pieces so well, I loved making [the pieces] for her” she explains. Nicola Formichetti, who is Gaga’s stylist, asked if he could take some pieces of her silicone collection to Los Angeles to show the fashion forward performer, which ultimately resulted in a positive outcome for this young designer.
Besides Gaga, Rachael’s other clientele has recently consisted of Gabriella Cilmi and Jared Leto and has been asked to create a bespoke piece for him to wear on his UK tour which she describes as “a childhood fantasy come to life.”
She insists that choosing a career in design was her destiny, “I loved art and design at school, it all happened quite naturally, which makes me feel very lucky [that I’ve had] no nightmares trying to decide what to do with my life.”
Barrett, orginally from Glasgow studied Womenswear at the Edinburgh College of Art before moving to London to further her knowledge of fashion design at the Royal College of Art. Her favorite designers are Prada, Calvin Klein and Celine.

From being inspired by photographers Corinne Day and Julia Margaret Cameron because of the ghostly quality their work reflects to historical designs of menswear, she claims that materials however, are her biggest inspiration. “An interesting material could determine an entire collection” and her collection that has got Gaga going gaga is completely defined by silicone, an unlikely choice for a collection that she describes as uber-feminine.
During her 1st and 2nd year at the Royal College of Art she did an internship with Philips Design where she experimented with silicone and after working with it on a small scale she was then inspired to work with it on a larger scale and volia the silicone dresses have arrived.
For the past 5 years this up-and-coming designer has been working very hard and has only had fashion on her mind but besides from designing she enjoys exploring London. She ventures to RD Franks for magazines, Sister Ray ,in Soho, for music, Tate Modern and the Victoria & Albert for inspiration and Bang Bang Vintage for bargains.
Despite the sudden interest in her creations Rachael remains grounded and believes she still has a lot to learn therefore her next goal is to get more industry experience.
So will we see Miss Barrett’s collection in store anytime soon? “Plan for 2010, get some stockists” she laughs.

alcohol is making life a little blurry
I guess many of you feel the same, no?
Well life has been somewhat of a blur a couple of days this week. First of all Saint Patricks Day and last night.
I know you could just blame the Irish for my drunken behaviour but that can't be the case because yesterday was just a simple Friday evening...oh jeez louise i hate not remembering snippets of the night, for one I probably said/did something ridiculous and thought I was amazing at the time and two I kinda missed out on what was probably a good night! Apparently we were playing drinking games and I dread to think what concoctions we created!
Ohwell, there is always next time...now where did my cocktail go...hmm... ;) I joke ...only because all the alcohol has been consumed!
Today I haven't left the house, feel too rough so had an early chinese with my mother who has now passed out on the bed...haven't seen her in weeks and i've already bored her to sleep lol. I hate wasting Saturdays :( but then again the weather doesn't look too cracky!

Hello Sunshine...
The sun is shining but I have a feeling it's going to be cold outside. It's lovely to sit inside and pretend Summer is upon us...although I know it's not, unfortunately!
Well to start my day I tried my first ever green smoothie, and was pleasantly surprised! It looked disgusting but tasted quite good and very healthy. Spinach, banana and strawberries all blended! Hopefully I will have lots of energy for the rest of the day.

GAGA OOH LAA LAA
Just WOW!
I went to see my inspiration, the one and only, Lady Gaga on Saturday night at the o2 arena and I was blown away to a land of freedom! Seriously I know you are all probably thinking 'of course Jordan is going to blow Gaga's trumpet as she's a huuuge fan' but wow wow wow! She is the BEST performer of our time! When was the last time we witnessed a true artist? Someone who writes their own music? Creates the whole show? and well sees her career as her true love?!
For all you little monsters who were unfortunate and got lost on the glitter way (in other words didn't make it to the Monster Ball) don't rip your hair out just yet as Gaga has just announced that she will be doing a few more shows in the UK as of May! Yay!!! Still disheartened that you won't be able to go? Oh i hear your cries but at least you will be able to purchase a 3D DVD of the Monster Ball ...How amazing!!!
Anyway, on Saturday the show oozed so much energy with the dancing, the powerful vocals , the lights and stage props, the crowd added that extra pinch of energy singing and dancing along to the show!
By far the most amazing show on earth ;)

Bonjour!
I finally had a spontaneous trip to Paris!
Last Monday night I was completely bored so decided the next morning I would take a trip to St Pancras and see if I could catch the eurostar to Paris...and I did!
Breakfast and champagne onboard the speedy train was a nice start to the day...
Paris was absolutely ice cold...but fabulous too. However, not enough exploring could be achieved as every time I ventured through the Parisian streets an ice cold breeze turned me into a statue with a ugly grimace on my face...So obviously in true Jordan style I wound up going to different hotels and drinking amaretto to warm myself up. Jesus, I would be the first person to die of the cold water if I was on the Titanic! Brr! The Four Seasons hotel is very chic and looked very Parisian with women sitting with wine and their small dogs perched on their laps...
So many drinks later and a couple more walks through the streets of the city of love and it was time to catch the eurostar back home...and of course I missed it! So had to endure an hour of sitting in the first class lounge with free drinks and magazines, what a shame! Well, sitting in the lounge I increasingly became tipsier! When I kept finding myself staring at a beautiful girl, I recognised her and it was crazing me! Do I know her I thought?! So then I saw a brilliantly massive engagement ring on her finger so just randomly said 'wow what a beautiful ring, for a beautiful lady' and asked if she was a model and what her name was etc turns out it was Lara Stone ...I really should have known it was her I'm a bloody fashion student! Anyway, she had amazing cheekbones and when I was home I realised that she had just been in Paris for fashion week...
Other random things include...seeing Pete Doherty in the lounge also and I yelled 'Pete' and he looked confused and was like 'Hi, you alright?!'...the room spinning from the Amaretto on the rocks I was convinced I had to go speak to him. Thankfully I didn't as the next day I read the news and it mentioned how he was involved in something which is a very sad story so drunk Jordan wouldn't have helped!
Oh dear my life is bizarre!
Until next time my darlings xo

Is romance dead?
Yesterday I bought this wonderful little book of love letters (inspired by Sex and The City)...oh it's so beautiful! It makes me sad to think that in this day and age nobody really sends letters anymore, especially love letters...it's all emails and text messages with no deep meaning. So if ,like me, you believe romance should rise from the dead buy this book and go back to a time when love letters were beautifully poetic and passionate...

SOMERSET HOUSE
Kerrie and I took a little trip to Somerset House yesterday to see 'A Very British Glamour ' By Norman Parkinson. It was free, so worth a visit. Outside near the quaint ice-rink was a Tiffany&Co. tuck shop...so very cute, it felt as if you turned into a doll and could fit inside a Tiffany box...There was blue cupcakes and candy canes and of course some of the timeless jewelry ...here's some photographs ...

Thought of the day...
I don't really know what I want, but I know what I don't want...
I don't want to be controlled...
I'm sitting here staring at the deep snow outside of my bedroom window wishing I could just run away to Paris and explore...find amazing vintage shops and fabulous cake shops which serves tea in old china teacups...doesn't it sound wonderfully chic?
I'm really finding who I am and I know I don't want to be part of a superficial fake bitchy world...
I guess I just want to create life as I go and make one big piece of art called...LIFE.
Oh, I don't know...sometimes it's easy to lose yourself!

New Decade, new fashion?
No, I don't think so either.
However, I'm expecting more copycatting will take place as it seems to constantly, for example the '80s was recreated in the noughties! Does this mean that we may have to rummage in our lofts for grunge and tracksuits of the '90s!? Eww no tracksuits!!
But my point is that the start of the 90s was 20 years ago and fashion has changed quite dramatically and to be honest it wasn't the most stylish decade...just look back at the Spice Girls. Thank the fashion God changed his or her (lets not be sexist here) style for the 00's...
So, I'm thinking the best decades were definitely the '20s, when Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel changed women's restricting fashion into clothes that moved with the body ;) to me this era of the flapper girls was just wonderful and elegant, no? My next fav decade has to be of course the '60s! I genuinely wish I was around at this time...maybe I would have been able to get to Andy Warhol's 'Factory' and saved the lovely Edie Sedgwick! Oh but the 60s were so free compared with previous decades...i love the whole hippy/bohemian effortless style and of course BIG HUGE MASSSSSIVE HAIR!
Oh maybe I am living in the 60s?!
PEACE AND LOVE XO
